meet the founder

Liz Friedland is a brand strategist, connector, and community builder, driven by endless curiosity, a fascination for next-gen ideas, and mission-driven brands. Always a few steps ahead, she started exploring spirituality and pursuing alternative health in her early years. Liz’s deep and diverse experience in wellness made her a natural go-to at the inception of the movement in 2010, where she worked closely with category pioneers that shaped the now $1.5 trillion global industry.

Sitting at the intersection of consciousness and culture, Liz has spearheaded growth strategies for global organizations like W Hotels, American Express, and Soho House, as well as conceptualized innovative mashups and partnerships with iconic brands, including Quiet Mornings at MoMA, The Big Quiet at The American Museum of Natural History, and MindTravel Underwater Meditation at the Zaha Hadid building.

Starting off at DreamWorks Pictures in PR, communications, and marketing, her approach to storytelling evolved via offline expressions including programming, partnerships, and experiential, earning Liz the reputation of trusted partner and leader for those seeking to define and push the edge of culture. She’s also well-known for having an eye for emerging talent, forecasting trends, and identifying early adopters and untapped markets.

Her motto, “one tide raises all ships,” fuels the win-win ethos behind all her endeavors. A believer in Human Needs Psychology, Liz ideates around how to best meet an individual’s inherent wiring for belonging, growth, and contribution, and prioritizes one’s need for moments of serendipity.

When not immersed in the above, she can be found strolling with her french bulldog through NYC, practicing guitar, or planning her next surf trip.
